Co-option of Parish Councillor
Bourton-on-the-Water Parish Council
Bourton on the Water Parish Council - Co-option of Parish Councillor
A casual vacancy has arisen due to the resignation of Barbara Rogers.
We invite residents interested in joining the Council to complete an application form which is available from the Parish Council Office, The George Moore Community Centre, Moore Rd, Bourton on the Water, Glos GL54 2AZ.
You must meet the qualifying criteria, namely be an elector over the age of 18 and have lived or had your primary place of work in the village for the past 12 months.
It’s hoped there will be a good response to this appeal for an additional Councillor as we do need to be at full strength in order to take forward the many projects and issues being progressed. Projects at the moment include looking to the future Covid-19 times and gathering views of the residents and businesses in the village, to assist the Parish Council in making decisions to create a better place for the residents and visitors of the village. Providing new recreation equipment for the village.
The Parish Council look after three recreation grounds and three allotment sites in the village, the cemetery, the village green, the George Moore Community Centre, the War Memorial on the village green and the Jubilee Orchard by the public car park at Station Road.
If you would like further information about the role of Parish Councillor please contact the Parish Clerk on 01451 820712 or by email at email@example.com
Completed applications should be returned to the Council Offices by Monday 16th November 2020. Applicants will be invited to meet with Councillors via Zoom in late November and we hope that an appointment will be confirmed at the Council meeting on 2nd December 2020.
